Кафедра сегодня: 

 Кафедра осуществляет образовательную деятельность по английскому, немецкому , французскому языкам на всех факультетах вуза как на дневной, так и на заочной формах обучения.

Профессорско-преподавательский состав кафедры отличается высокой квалификацией и разносторонностью интересов. Среди преподавателей кафедры – доктора и кандидаты педагогических, филологических, экономических, биологических наук.
Количество часов для изучения языка определяется Федеральным образовательным стандартом высшего профессионального образования.
Приоритетной задачей кафедры является обучение студентов-спортсменов иностранным языкам для осуществления устной и письменной коммуникации в профессиональной среде с учетом специфики лексического материала по каждой специальности.
Все преподаватели кафедры готовят студентов и аспирантов к ежегодной региональной межвузовской конференции молодых учёных "Человек в мире спорта". Студенты и аспиранты занимают призовые места на различных секциях конференции, в том числе и на секции "Научный доклад на иностранном языке".
